Statement for Equa bank clients on the sale of the Equa group

Information for customers of Equa bank on the sale of the Equa Group and transfer of 100% of shares to Raiffeisenbank

Dear Customers and Business Partners,

Allow us to provide you with up-to-date information in connection with the notification of the sale of the Equa Group to the renowned international group Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI).

The transaction was settled on1 July 2021, when Raiffeisenbank a.s. paid the agreed purchase price, having become the sole shareholder of Equa bank a.s. As of July 2021, both banks will initiate some joint activities. At this point, we expect that Raiffeisenbank a.s. and Equa bank a.s. will merge to create one legal entity not sooner than as of 1 January 2022.

For you, the customers of Equa bank, this has no practical consequences.All our products and services thus continue to be provided by default and without any changes. All our branches, bankers, and the Customer Centre are also widely available for our customers and business partners. The high standard of services you are used to enjoying with Equa bank will be maintained for you also in future. In parallel, you will benefit from an enhanced service offer, e.g. a larger branch network, cash deposits and withdrawals, an arrangement of authorised persons of bank accounts or an issuance of an extra payment card for your account.

All agreements and obligations remain valid and we continue to provide the full range of our products and services pursuant to the valid terms and conditions and prices. We are fully prepared to welcome both the existing and new customers to our state-of-the-art on-line environment and our branches. Provision of quality banking products and services with a high added value for our customers continues to be our top priority.

We would also like to assure you that in the case of any change of the terms and conditions for provision of our products and services, we will inform you at a reasonable notice as always.
